Educators facilitate learning with technology to support student achievement of the ISTE Standards for students
6a: Foster a culture where students take ownership of their learning goals and outcomes in both independent and group settings.
6b: manage the use of technology and student learning strategies in digital platforms, virtual environments, hands-on makerspaces or in the field.
6c: Create learning opportunities that challenge student to use a design process and computational thinking to innovate and solve problems
6d: Model and nurture creativity and creative expression to communicate ideas, knowledge or connections.

Project:
Distant learning makes the teacher a facilitator because the teacher puts ownership in the students to be able to fulfill their responsibilities in learning away from the school in a technology based environment. I created a way to make distant learning easier in a lesson plan. This lesson plan fits into the Standard 6: Facilitator. Google classroom and teachers pay teachers are resources that teachers can use to continue the learning and are resources that allow the students to take ownership of their learning goals. Google classroom provides the teacher to manage the use of technology and student learning strategies in digital platforms. Google classroom provides all of these opportunities.
